FROM DEEP INSIDE
Series of 7 Photos - Limited Edition
After giving up my structured life and letting go the heavy weight of expectations, perfection and fears I entered an unpredictable world.
This new way of living appeared inscrutable and mysterious at the beginning (“Mystical”). When peeling off my mind-focused way of thinking an unknown path appeared (“Open”). Being overwhelmed by my intense feelings I oscillated between extremes including sexual desire, shame, losing my self-control and adapting to social rules (“Look”). I was magically attracted and terrified at the same time to enter my own darkness (“Who dares to enter?”). There was only one way: to take the risk, to step down and face my fears. Constraints got blurry and shifted. My inner contradictions cleared up. Life was gaining depth (“From Deep Inside”). Slowly I became comfortable in accepting my inner truth and found protection within myself. Going through this transformation sparked my inner light again (“Cosy”). Feeling released, I integrated my experiences in my now more liberated and joyful way of living, letting my light shine from within (“Luscious”).
Changing environment from my structured life in Switzerland to the vibrant centre of Barcelona facilitated to take first ambiguous photos. This included broad studies about different skin parts and intense emotions. Next, I travelled to Iran where I develop my series further. There I was feeling well understood in my diverse emotions. In Iran society is forced to life between extremes - their well-controlled public life and their proportionally free private life. My own discrepancies were intensified there, and this was an important experience to inwardly break-free. Back in Switzerland my diverse impressions matured, and this series took the definite shape.
